The Completion of an Outfit

20130220-143330.jpgAn outfit isn’t “an outfit” until all the pieces are put together. It’s the accessories that finish off the entire look.

Above you can see me mixing silver and gold, black and white and a hit of red. It’s always nice to have a pop of colour when you’re wearing back and white!

This “finishing off the look” can be the most challenging for most, but I assure you if you read my post; The Accessory Basics Every Woman Should Own, you will have a great head start. Don’t be shy when experimenting with accessories too. I always recommend being bold with your outfit add-on’s. Accessories are the easiest and cheapest way to update your wardrobe! So go out and buy that scarf in this Spring’s hottest new colour, cobalt blue or neon orange!

Yes, men are on Pinterest, however I don’t think they get as neurotic and obsessed as us women do! A little secret for my man friends, if you want to impress your girlfriend/sister/mother/boyfriend- go on their Pinterest page! You’d be surprised how easy it is to find that perfect gift or how much you could get to know about her just by doing a little online creeping!

Oxblood is the hottest colour this season, and the reason it’s caught on so big is because everyone can wear it! If you have a cool skin tone, look for a more purple based oxblood and if you have a warm skin tone look for a more orange/rust based shade.

I wouldn’t suggest rocking this colour head to toe, but pick a piece or two and pair with your favorite neutrals. I enjoy oxblood paired with leopard print! Have you purchased something in this colour yet? I myself purchased some jeans, nail polish and lipstick in this shade!

 Brad Pitt’s highly anticipated commercial for Chanel No. 5 was released today, and it’s, well, artsy? Take a look:

The thought of Brad Pitt selling ladies perfume was always a little strange to me, and now getting to finally see this commercial, I don’t feel it’s any less weird about it. First of all, it feels very pretentious and beneath him. Yes, Chanel is an amazing high-end designer brand, but for Brad to do such a low-budget commercial where he is just rambling and gazing off into space make’s me feel like, isn’t he better than this?

Anyway, that’s just my thoughts, how do you feel about Brad in this commercial? To my male readers, does it reach out to you? Does it make you want to buy some perfume for your girl? Is that what they were trying to accomplish in the first place?

That’s 33,000 square feet of space dedicated to your favorite UK brand! This will make it Topshop’s largest international store! The shop is set to open this October, so start saving now! Question: Do you shop with your Right Brain or your Left Brain?

I can say for me, I am certainly a mix of both. I think if you are being creative and inspired while finding new items, your right brain is on fire. If you are calculating and logical while purchasing, your left brain is working overtime. I have both these things. When my right brain takes over, this is when I get into trouble! (Major shopping spree!) But sometimes it’s not as fun to shop with just your left brain! Money shmoney!

However, its always good to have a list, even it its just a note you add to your phone about purchases you hope to make at some point, this way you don’t waste money on useless items….crap left brain is taking over!
